Every member of the Indian Lake Class High School of 2021 has answered the question, 'What's Your E?'
As part of the "3E" initiative to get all senior students in Logan County either Enrolled, Enlisted or Employed, the Logan County Collaborative staged a Signing Day at Indian Lake High School.
Students signed a certificate declaring whether they are headed to an institute of higher education, to the Armed Forces or starting work at an area business upon graduation.
Logan County Commissioner and ILHS Alum Joe Antram spoke to members of the ILHS Class of 2021 during the signing ceremony.
He said, "Today you're signing up for individual challenges and a sense of identity. Congratulations on a bright future for all of you!"
Logan County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ben Vollrath praised the group on their decisions and urged them to consider returning to Logan County in the future, no matter what path they've chosen"
"When you look someone in the eye and say I'm going to school, I have a job or I'm serving in the military, be proud of that. Your community is proud of you. And when the time comes, look at coming back to Logan County. We need you. We want you!"
Students posed for pictures in their respective Enrolled, Enlisted and/or Employed groups, then individually signed certificates from the Logan County Collaborative to mark the occasion and make their choice official.
Seniors Lillian Roby (enrolled), Alexis Lazo (employed) and James Parker (enlisted) also discussed their choices on local radio station WPKO as representatives of ILHS.
