Mr. Plikerd is a 1954 graduate of Stokes Township High School in Lakeview, which later became part of the Indian Lake School District. As a Stokes Township Indian, Plikerd lettered in Basketball, Football and Volleyball. Wes and his late wife, Patricia, raised 5 children in Lakeview. All are Indian Lake High School Graduates including Vince (1975), Jamie (1979), Patrick (1983), Michele (1987) & Heather (1990).
Mr. Plikerd keeps his own stats at the basketball games and even makes scrapbooks for some of the players. He has been in the stands of nearly every basketball and football game since the 1970s.
Mr. Plikerd says he has enjoyed watching and supporting Indian Lake sports teams, win or lose, all of these years, and will continue to do so!
