Congratulations on a job well done to the Indian Lake Transportation Department! Five of our bus drivers and sub drivers took part in the annual Ohio West Regional Bus Road-E-O held at Bellefontaine City Schools recently. A total of 60 drivers from the 12 county area competed. Mike Pusey placed 12th, Amy Stevens 13th, Josh Randolph 34th, Lynne Snipes 41st, and Terrah Eaton 44th.

Pusey took "Rookie of the Year" which is the highest scoring, first time contestant (there were 29 first-time contestants this year).
Indian Lake's drivers as a group took the "Lead by Example" award for having the most first-time participants from one school district.
IL Driver Lori Carpenter was co-chair of this year's event and moves up to chairperson for 2019 when the event takes place at Indian Lake Schools. Judges from Indian Lake were Robert Ball, Sue Ball, Barbara Scherer, and Transportation Director Pat Smith.
Smith says Indian Lake supplied the buses for the event, "Drivers Sue Ball, Lori Carpenter, Terrah Eaton, Laura Dalton and Lynne Snipes deserve credit for their work to prepare our five buses for use in the event. I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the cleanliness and overall condition of the buses."
Smith also expressed appreciation to two Bellefontaine drivers. Mike Puhalla, who was the 2018 chairperson, and Paula Blair.
The annual Bus Road-E-O is a spirited test of driving ability, maneuverability and safety skills.
