In addition, the board honored several students who have experienced recent success. Wrestlers Dylan Knotts, Connor Dixon and Cole Mefford, along with Coach Ryan Dickson were applauded for representing Indian Lake at the OHSAA State Division III Wrestling Tournament earlier in March.
8th grade art student Cheyenne Hill received special recognition after being named the State Middle School Winner for Artistic Excellence in the 2018 Ohio Art Education Association Youth Art Month and The Young People’s Art Exhibition Contest for her Color Theory Zentangle City work of art.
Senior Cameron Daniels also got special recognition after placing second in the state Business Professionals of America contest recently. He will go on to represent Indian Lake High School at the National BPA Competition in Texas in mid-May.
Finally, Superintendent Underwood and board members recognized longtime board member Steve Spath for his 20 years of service to the district. Spath was recently honored by the Ohio School Boards Association as being a veteran board member across the state.
